AS part of the Pacific Islands Investment Forum (PIIF), CEOs and heads of superannuation funds from across the Pacific region visited Paradise Foods Ltd’s manufacturing facility in Port Moresby.
Being 100 per cent locally owned by Nambawan Super Ltd, Paradise Foods was excited to showcase its biscuit and snack production facilities along with a tour of the Queen Emma chocolate factory.
General manager for marketing Roger Harwood welcomed the CEOs and delegates and said Paradise manufactured many of the country’s iconic brands of biscuits and confectionery.
“Our great team is keen to show you how we manufacture PNG’s favourite biscuits and snacks, being emNAU crackers and Gold Nuggets respectively,” he said.
“We manufacture 24 hours a day six days of the week to keep up with marketplace demand. As we say at Paradise, we are a home-grown company punching above our weight.”
Harwood said this year would see increased investment across the company’s operations after the recent merger with Laga Industries Ltd and the installation of major equipment at its factories and the establishment of new distribution centres in Lae and Port Moresby.
He added that the Queen Emma chocolate factory would be upgraded to produce chocolates for the international market and the diversification of its product range (cocoa mass, cocoa butter cocoa powder and finished chocolate).
