THE Four Square Gospel Church of Papua New Guinea recently launched its new Jesus FM radio station at Kumbas in Wapenamanda, Enga.
This was a dream come through for the church to relay the Gospel of Jesus Christ through radio to reach more people in rural areas.
The Jesus FM (89.1) currently covers Enga together with the neighbouring Western Highlands and parts of Sepik. Jesus FM chairman Wesley Kenderi said because the world was changing, media was a powerful tool to relay information to the people.
He said the church of God needed to rise to another level and this is what the Four Square Gospel Church of PNG was embarking on.
Kenderi said radio was easily accessible for more people than television or social media.
He said radio would be effective to speak the Gospel to the rural majority.
Jesus FM also signed a memorandum of agreement with Digicel PNG to boost coverage.
