FOUR lucky people have won themselves new Toyota Hilux double cabs through Trukai Industries Limited’s TruAdventure promotion this month.
Gideon Iso, who was Trukai’s Southern winner, joined Ronnie Tundu Lambeo (Highlands winner), Jenny Anapato (Mamose winner) and Henry Baulana (New Guinea Islands region winner) in thanking the company for giving Papua New Guineans the chance to win such a prize like the Hilux Adventure.
Originally, from Goroka, Gideon has lived in Port Moresby for many years working as a landscaper with the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) in the parks and gardens division.

“The vehicle is something that I’ve been praying for as it will help me and my brother back home to sell coffee,” he said.
“Trukai never fails. The company always gives back to its people and I am blessed to be one of those lucky ones.”
Trukai conducted its final draw at the J&Z 9-Mile plaza in Port Moresby on Fri, Feb 10, wrapping up one of the company’s largest national promotions with a total of 23,000 entries nationwide. Trukai Industries regional sales manager for Southern Jaytee Kevo said the promotion was a reward to the people.

“This is one of our major promotions and it is a way of giving our loyal consumers a chance to win an exciting new vehicle, just for purchasing their favourite rice,” he said. The promotion started last December and concluded in late January this year with respective regional draws held in each regional centres over a two-week period.
NGI’s draw was held in Kokopo on Jan 31, Mamose’s draw in Lae on Feb 3, the Highlands draw in Mt Hagen Feb 7 and the Southern was in Port Moresby three days later.
Trukai marketing manager Maryanne Tom congratulated the regional winners.

“Congratulations to our four lucky winners from each region and a very big thank you to all those who participated,” she said.
“It was our first time to run a promotion with four Hiluxs as prizes, and I believe the first of its kind in PNG. “For those who missed out this time around, please keep an eye out for Trukai’s next big promotions coming your way soon.”
All of Trukai’s four regional winners are simple hardworking Papua New Guineans who were deserving of these prizes.
One is a market vendor, another one a coffee farmer, a casual merchandiser with an FMCG and now a landscaper with a city authority.
Tom added that the company would continue to give Papua New Guineans the opportunity to improve their lives and well-being through such promotions.
“This is one way of affirming Trukai’s commitment to the people of PNG and that Trukai continues to inspire,” she said.
