Frim steps up safety measures

INTERNATIONAL Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) in Lae under its Covid-19 response plan has taken drastic steps towards ensuring the health and safety of its employees as well as the community.
Lae branch general manager George Gware said the emergency response plans in place targeted various conditions that could become trigger points.
“The main controls that ICTSI have in place at the container terminal at Lae’s main wharf include a clinic, an ambulance and a private medical facility has been contracted to supply health workers plus other safety measures taken where necessary,” Gware said.
He said there was also a contact list kept to monitor employee’s contact with outsiders as well as those travelling out of Lae or coming into the city.
