Full squad to assemble on Monday

ELEVEN PNG Prime Minister’s 13 players are already in camp waiting for the other seven squad members to join them.
Coach Michael Marum said three Queensland-based Q-Cup players Daniel Russell of the South Logan Magpies, Kyle Laybutt of the Mackay Cutters and Tommy Butterfield of East Tigers were already with the eight PNG Hunters Enoch Maki, Moses Meninga, Nixon Put, Rhadley Brawa, Stanton Albert, Watson Boas and Willie Minoga in the camp in Port Moresby.
Marum said other players like David Mead of Catalans Dragons (France), Wellington Albert (Widnes Vikings), Nene Macdonald (St George Illawarra Dragons) and James Segeyaro (Cronulla Sharks) were expected to arrive today.
Marum said Lachlan Lam (Sydney Roosters) and Justin Olam (Melbourne Storm) would join the team on Monday as their clubs are involved in the NRL grand final on Sunday.
“Since they are part of their team’s 25-man squads, they will need to celebrate together with their teams and arrive here on Monday,” Marum said.
Canterbury Bulldogs’ Rhyse Martin is also expected to arrive here on Monday after the NRL State Championship.
Marum said the players who were already in camp had a full day training yesterday and had today off after a pool season in the morning.
Marum said he was expecting to have a full squad by Tuesday with along with his coaching staff and team management personnel.
“By Tuesday we’ll have everyone in the squad here and that will give us four days to get ready and work on our combinations in the positions,” Marum said.
The Australian PM’s 13 has several expereinced hands like Aaron Woods, Daly Cherry-Evans and David Klemmer, who have already played in PM’s 13 fixtures in PNG.
The match is on Saturday (October 6) at the Oil Search Stadium.
