THE National Superannuation Fund Ltd (Nasfund) has renewed its partnership with the 1-Tok
Kaunseling Helpim Lain which is offering free and confidential mobile telephone counselling services to members and employees.
Chief officer, talent and culture, Vincent Lialu said mental health was important in maintaining a work-life balance and promoting longevity.
“We acknowledge the work that ChildFund is doing to drive the 1-Tok Kaunselin Helpim Lain service that offers free mobile counselling and support people who have experienced abuse,” he said.
“Nasfund, as a strong supporter of equality and empowerment for our people and members believes this partnership will allow us to use our brand and network to raise awareness among members on the services offered by 1-Tok Kaunselin as well as encourage on-site awareness sessions for all Nasfund staff members.”
The 1-Tok Kaunselin Helpim Lain is a toll-free confidential telephone counselling service offered by ChildFund and other partners. Members of the public experiencing or have witnessed family and sexual violence are encouraged to dial 7150 8000 to seek help and referral to other support services.
To support the work of the mobile counsellors, Nasfund provided 10 communication devices to the team to ensure that the free and confidential telephone counselling service remains accessible to people.
Manager for 1-Tok Kaunselin Helpim Lain, Kinime Daniel, thanked Nasfund for the support, saying it would allow them to continue offering free over-the-phone counselling to people.
“We look forward to working with Nasfund to drive counselling and awareness sessions for all staff members,” Daniel said.
