THE world will never be the same again because the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is causing an uncertain future, ELCPNG head bishop Rev Dr Jack Urame says.
As part of his Easter message, Rev Urame said the dynamics of society, life patterns and interactions in business, politics, religion, as well as the systems and structures of society that held people together have been impacted.
“We are not excluded from the global pandemic crisis,” he said.
“The magnitude of the impact on humanity and society is beyond measure.
“Our nation is also threatened by the spread of the virus and the spike in infections and deaths.”
Rev Urame said the Covid-19 had reduced humanity so much that lives were now regulated by new codes of behaviour imposed by the Government. “By now, people are getting used to wearing face masks, social distancing and hand sanitising and fist bumps,” he said.
“But how long this will continue remains uncertain.”
