TWENTY teams are still in the running for the Fuzzy Wuzzy 9s finals as the competition runs into its fourth day.
Eight teams have bowed out.
In the top 16 cup and plate playoffs, eight teams will advance to the cup quarterfinals while the losers with play for the plate.
In the bowl playoff, four teams advanced while the other four bowed out.
Today will be the last day for the tournament that will see the elimination and preliminary finals for all the divisions and the finals at the National Football Stadium.
Young Guns, Siporo Magpies, Waidex Eels, FH Laumas 1, Lako, Killiton Falcons, FH Laumas 2 and Rovanama have qualified for the for cup playoffs.
The Gordon Dragons, Koiari Nagavas, Gabagaba Gagais, Variata Black Eagles, SSG Roosters, North Dingoes, Ril Roadsiders and MK West White will compete for the plate.
The bowl playoff will involve the North Dingoes Green, Mahuru Eagles, BSI Eagles and Paga Panthers.
The Panthers had a bad start losing two games but have managed to string two wins to qualify for the bowl playoff.
The Panthers’ day three surge was helped by the inclusion of Port Moresby Vipers pair Sparrow Thomas and Kambi Igiman.
Paga beat Brothers 24-10.
In the other bowl playoff, Boas brothers, Ase and Watson, helped BSI Royals win on Tuesday and yesterday to lift their side to the bowl quarterfinals. Royals beat Spidertek Pirates 12-0 yesterday and face the Mahuru Eagles today.
