THE Gabagaba Rugby League affiliated to the Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League last week.

With the deadline elapsing today, the rural Central province competition was able to meet the cost, as well as other requirements to be counted part of the PNGRFL family. Gabagaba league president Willie Philip, his deputy Nanai Ariarogo and secretary/treasurer Gerard Awaii gave the payment receipt to Southern Confederation director Gwaibo Mairi last week in Port Moresby.

Philip said affiliating to the national body was done to benefit from programmes and activities.

Mairi said only Port Moresby Rugby League, Popondetta, Kiunga, Wippie, Rigo, Kemabolo, Hiri, Central, Koiari, Kerema, Kerema Central, Port Moresby Suburban and Gabagaba had affiliated.
