Forty staff from the National Gaming Control Board have received training to improve their work performance.
Chief executive officer Imelda Agon said she was happy with the leadership programme.
Agon said it was her objective to build the performance ability of staff.
She challenged her staff to apply what they learned in their work place and homes.
The training was facilitated by FranklinCovey PNG.
The staff attended a week-long workshop at the NGCB operations centre.
The training introduced staff to FranklinCovey’s leadership product ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People Foundations’.
The programme ran from Mar 14-19 and ended with a certificate presentation.
FranklinCovey PNG is an employee training consultancy company.
It specialises in leadership and team-building training.
The company’s chief executive John Cholai said the programmes they provided could be of great value if used to complement other training programmes already in place.
“Our training is more about shifting paradigms by providing the mindset, toolset and skill sets to help organisations immediately with their work and be able to get organisational results,” he said.
