“The shop fittings andthe quality inPremium Fashion Internationalmake it a sampleshop for our agents in the Pacific. We will set up the shop with the fittings for our customers on a special arrangement when they purchase containers from Nilechemy Industries (in Austrlia and Europe).
“Premium Fashion International opened its doors last Wednesday with European second-hand goods. We are located at Boroko directly opposite the Borokopolice station. Our stocks are supplied by Nilechemy Industries, an Australian and European pre-owned export company now owned by Papua New Guinean business woman Emily NiliwanNili.
“Premium Fashion is focussed on providing women with opportunities in the second-handclothing industry,” Pelen says.
President and CEO of Nilechemy Industries Nili said, “We’re proud to introduce a rebate programme in conjunction with our sister company Premium Fashion International in Papua New Guinea. The loyalty refunds are designed to allow for financial flexibility.
“I know more than anyone can understand a woman’s pain; after coming out of three attempted suicidesI knowwhat it is like to rebuild a business from nothing but hard prayers.
“My past is another woman’s present. Our pain is similar, because all women have a similar story to tell.”
With tears she said, “Women in PNG are not speaking up about their painful experiences because once they do they are badly beaten or killed by the relatives of the husband or the husband himself for destroying his reputationor going further by serving them court papers demanding an apology so the woman will not repeat her own life experience.
“With that truth we are defenceless. Men say “Embigmantumas;maskibagarapimnembilongem. (He is a big man; don’t tarnish his reputation).
“I appeal to all men, please listen to a woman because a woman made you become who you are today.
“A woman will talk with the truth and hard evidence but it means nothing in the culture of Papua New Guinea. For once listento us!
“My justice was deniedbut I’mso privileged and fortunate to be overseas and very successful in business. God heard my painful cry, God will do it for all women,”she said.
“I will leave no stones unturned helping a mother and daughter, for those daughterswhosejustice was stopped for your father’s selfish hidden motives, please come see me. My mighty and powerful Godwill give us justice, God is above your father.”
She continued:“Women in PNG are not speaking up with their painful experiences. I am more vocal than others through my own charity in Australia and Europe, no man in PNG will stop me.
“Men can boast to have reputationor impeccable character but never forget God is more powerful.Women, be strong.l am a living testimony, my story is your strength. With God all things are possible because we serve a living God of all possibilities.
“Don’t worry even ifyou go nowhere. The truth with hard evidence can mean nothing in the culture of Papua New Guinea can stop you.
“We are helpless therefore with God Premium Fashions International’s loyalty programme allows women to earn points to receive up to K2,000 or more cash back, free second-hand bales, and even a free 20ft container direct from Europe,” she said.
Nili said the programme was designed for Nilechmey agents to offer flexibility to their customers and has been piloted with Premium Fashion International in PNG.
Nilechmey hopes to promote economic empowerment in all its centres and loyalty programmes such as this will encourage the growth of business, especially those owned and operated by women.
Nili started her remarkable journey into the business world with just six Australian dollars. She now has operations in Australia and in Europe.
