Get simple things right

Letters

OUR Government must stop thinking about any further outside borrowing and learn to adopt ways and means to be self-reliant.
A suggestion by former Markham MP Andrew Baing for the Government to reduce the number of public servants, do away with unnecessary and duplicate government departments and vice ministries is a sound advice our government must consider if it is serious in bringing PNG back from financial doldrums.
There are better options and approaches our government can venture into or adopt to save our country from incurring more debts and at the same offset its long overdue debts and loans.
Our country must set its priority right and cut down unnecessary spending so it can live within its financial capacity.
We must not always beg for money from donor countries because we have all the resources that other countries wish they have.
Therefore, we must live and act as a nation rich in resources and must correct our mistakes, adopt new strategies, live within our means and budget wisely.
Set strict guidelines, adopt strict management strategies, scale down unnecessary workforce, offices and spending.
Our country does not need a complex formula to save itself from financial doldrums.
Just get the simple things right with management.
