Getting children to love reading

Letters

I APPRECIATE the generosity and effort of young University of PNG tutor Nathaniel John for helping to drive and remind us of the importance of books.
The government should find a way to motivate students to read, and one way of doing that is to help people like Nathaniel who has the willingness and passion in that area.
All these, however, will come to nothing if the parents themselves cannot do the job at home and encourage their children to read.
They are the ones who have to inspire their children to read more. You cannot force children to do that.
Well done, Nathaniel, keep it up and nature will bless your heart.
