Ghost projects aren’t fair

Letters

I AGREE with what National Planning and Monitoring Department Minister Richard Maru said about the allocation of millions of kina into ghost projects.
How those projects were planned and controlled over the past five years remain controversial and the Department of National Planning and Monitoring should respond to the minister’s queries.
It is also good that the minister is aware that some road projects lack economic justification and because of that those projects have denied more-deserving people access to better infrastructure.
I suggest the minister does a thorough audit of those projects to restore integrity and trust in the department.
We need to be fair in the distribution of government funding and projects.
