Give loan approval powers to branches

Letters

SMALLER branches of financial institutions should be given greater financial powers to give loans to parents struggling to get loans for school fees.
Branches should be allowed to make financial decisions to give loans immediately.
I went to Goroka from Kundiawa to get school fee loans from the Bank South Pacific (BSP) and when I enquired, my application was referred to headquarters for approval.
I cannot stay in Goroka because I have no place to stay.
For me to travel to Chimbu and return is not good enough.
In the event that our loans are rejected, we waste time going back and forth, therefore, we want the banks to have powers to approve minor loans and school fee loans.
Given the growing population, the increasing demand warrants financial service providers to provide efficient and effective services for customers.
BSP is one of the financial institutions that helps parents every year but we need the bank’s branches to give loans immediately, especially school fee loans.
I need around K40,000 to settle all my school fee needs for this year.
