Golf pennants gets K70,000 backing

TELIKOM presented a K70,000 cheque to the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club to host its annual golf pennants competition.
Telikom PNG acting CEO Xavier Victor presented the cheque saying the state’s telecommunications company had been sponsoring the event for the past seven years and has once again come on board with bmobile and PNG Dataco.
Club general manager Scott Morrissey and president Peter Del Monte recieved the cheque.
Morrissey thanked Telikom for the sponsorship.
He said most of the golfers would be vying for the Pacific Games and the competition was a great learning code for them. The competition would tee off on Sunday and would be renamed the Kumul Telikom Holdings Golf Pennants.
