Good call Manning

POLICE Commissioner David Manning has taken the right approach to lay off reservists and auxiliary policemen and women.
The initial idea to engage reservists was to support the police manpower in order to maintain peace and order but that was never achieved.
Some of the reservists have compromised their duty especially by using excessive force on suspects.
Reservists’ dressing and behaviour haven’t been up to standard and they have failed to uphold the code of ethics at times.
Manning has done well by working to restore the pride and confidence in the Royal PNG Constabulary.
