Government and business

Letters

THERE is a difference between business and Government in that business equals private while Government equals public.
Private, therefore, is personal such as personal business, personal wealth, personal interest or inwardness.
On the contrary, public is outwards which belongs to all of us: Common national good, common national interest and servitude, Jesus and Godly.
On this premise, one cannot mix business and government.
There are parallel lines that must not cross or touch or there will be electrocution.
In PNG, we are faking up.
We are confused and are mixing the two.
Each time a businessman runs for public office, we vote him in.
Ninety-five per cent of PNG politicians are businessmen (you know their names because you voted them in for their money), therefore, PNG is not a democracy at all but a fake democracy described as oligarchy.
Unless we decide now, there will be no future and our children will curse us forever and ever over our graveyards.
