Grateful pensioner

The National Letters

I READ in The National on June 25 about the payment of pension to the old and people living with disability and I say thank you to New Ireland Governor Sir Julius Chan.
The payment of pension was not only made to the people of New Ireland but also to the non-New Irelanders known as Vairas living and working in the province as recognition of their contributing to the development of the province for over 20 years.
I am happy to say that I am also one of the recipient of the pension.
Sir J, the amount of pension K360 which you have paid to us is a blessing.
