BRIAN Bell Group Ltd chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says the group sees the opportunity to expand in the Highlands, with Southern Highlands standing out as a potential economic zone.
Mackellar told The National that Brian Bell expects 2020 to be a good year for business and will continue to invest in building new businesses and expanding its Homecentre businesses in the Highlands.
“We see a massive opportunity with further expansion of our products in the Southern Highlands and want to support those communities in a bigger and better way in 2020,” Mackellar said.
“The Southern Highlands continues to grow and thrive.”
On other capital projects, Mackellar said: “We initiated a massive capital spend at our largest Homecentre store in Gordon, Port Moresby.”
“This project will deliver a brand new shopping complex to Port Moresby in early 2020,” Mackelar said.
“In addition, we have also given our Homecentre store at Gordon a complete make-over and improved its fire safety requirement, enlarged the shopping footprint and even better shopping in early 2020 for all customers.”
Mackelar said they had also opened a warehouse operation in Gerehu, Port Moresby, and a store in Kimbe.
