THE Papua New Guinea Women-in-Business (PNGWiB) has been helping a lot of women operate their businesses and providing jobs for unemployed women.
One of them, Anna Kambian, said finding a job in Port Moresby was very difficult.
“When I was approached by the owner of the business Saina Kumung to start selling her arts and crafts, I gladly accepted the opportunity and have been selling her products with the PNGWiB since,” she said.
Kumung is the founder of the Zion Zeal Christian Academy School in Port Moresby.
She wanted to create employment for those without jobs.
She buys items during her trips overseas to sell.
She asked Kambian to assist her in selling the items, mostly arts and crafts at the PNGWiB trade centre in Waigani, Port Moresby.
The prices of women’s clothes with different designs range from K10 to K200.
“Building trust and relationship with your employer is the biggest challenge, when someone bestows something upon you to make dividends,” Kambian said.
“I have built that trust over the years and have proven to my employer my loyalty.
“Since the launching of the PNGWiB trade centre, we have seen a lot of positive outcome from our customers.”
