A LANDOWNER group in Mt Kare has urged stakeholders associated with the resource-rich Paiyala in Enga and Heli in Hela to unite in promoting development in the area.
The Hetapula Association was formed in 1988 during the alluvial gold rush.
Hetapula interim chairman Benneth Agiru Paro said in Port Moresby people wanted tangible developments in the area and everyone must work together to achieve that.
“Enough of politics and divisions among parties,” he said.
He called on all the four tribal groups Heli, Tawini, Pujaro and Lanopa to sit down with representatives from the government and the developer.
“As an umbrella company we expect all interested groups to register formally with our committees.”
