Gurias down composed Central Dabaris 16-10

The Agmark Gurias beat the Central Dabaris 16-10 in their Digicel Cup round 16 match at the Oil Search National Football Stadium yesterday.
The second match in the triple-header in Port Moresby saw the Kokopo side take off to a flying start with a try to hooker Brian Gispe following a some good lead up work by Gurias backs which opened space in middle of the field to go in.
A composed Dabaris outfit led by skipper Adam Korave were slow to find their rhythm in attack following the opening minutes of the match with halves Sebastian Gaudi and Allan Simbiri work any incisive players.
An unconverted try to winger Ilias Stanley saw the East New Britons edge ahead to be 10-0 at half-time. The second half saw a much improved Dabaris fight back.
Dabaris fullback John Stanley crossed for a four-pointer to bring the scores to 10-4.
Gurias halfback Solomon Pokare charged down a Dabaris fifth tackle and set up winger Lucas Kapinias to claim the visitors’ winning try.
In the other matches of the match of the triple header, the PRK Gulf Isou denied the Kroton Hela Wigmen a return to the top 6 with an18-14 win and the NCDC Port Moresby Vipers edged the Muruks 12-6.
