Halt one sided trade flow

Letters

IT is interesting to learn from the media that PNG, through the defunct Livestock Development Corporation under the minister responsible, is trying to import live cattle from Australia.
Is it to breed stock or carcass for the butchery?
What is the business plan model and the whole stream of benefits, costs to local and foreign companies and that of the balance of trade per se?
The golden rule is to never deny opportunity for PNG if it’s going to benefit a few large Australian cattle ranchers.
What are the tradeoffs and what particular product is that against for the Australian market?
Since independence, Australia has denied market access for PNG’s agriculture produce under bio security barriers to trade.
Were our leaders and officials deaf and dumb all along to make such ridiculous deals?
Please God, help us see things clearly.
Let’s take a hint from the US President Donald Trump who put America first and stopped all one sided trade flows.
