THE Health Department has approved Sesago Healthcare Ltd to be the recipients of the first seven Marketing Authorisation Licences (MALs) from their products regulatory team.
Sesago Healthcare managing director Sanjay Gosalia announced that the product registering was done by the Health Department with guidance from World Health Organisation (WHO) to certify pharmaceutical products and issue MALs.
“Sesago has been meeting vital requirements recommended by the department for more than 50 of its products (medicine) to be assessed and licenced,” he said.
Currently, out of the 50 products, seven products have been licenced while 43 products are yet to be approve with licences for sale and distribution.
Gosalia said Sesago was committed to providing quality products while complying with the country’s rules and regulations in protecting public health.
“Fifty is just the tip of the iceberg of the line of medicine we carry,” he said.
“Therefore, we will be continuously working to get all our products registered as per Health Department’s requirements.
“Also, we are working consistently to improve our distribution practices.”
Sesago Healthcare sales and marketing manager Pradeep Panda said they would be opening a new pharmacy and clinic next month.
“We will be selling our own products as well as products such as perfumes, body sprays and soaps and many more with the clinical service just like any pharmacy clinical services,” he said.
