THE 2103 Telikom National Soccer League season has been a successful but tiring one for minor premiers Hekari United.

Manageress Vonnie Kapi Natto (pictured) expressed great satisfaction after their 4-0 win over Gigira Laitepo Morobe United at the Papua New Guinea Football Association academy field in Lae on Saturday.

“Satisfaction, there is great satisfaction after all the hard work, there is great joy and I thank the players for the commitment and discipline throughout this season,” she said.

She said Hekari’s engagement in the Oceania league had stretched the club’s playing resources with matches played at close intervals, but Kapi Natto said despite this her side had been great ambassadors for the country with their stoic performances on the road.

“It was a very hard road for us, we probably worked harder than any other club for our sponsors and the country,” she said referring to the club’s participation in the Oceania League representing the country.

Natto said despite the end-of-season expectation on the NSL finals campaign, Hekari were planning ahead and had already charted its course in the next NSL season.

They were looking to maintain the same roster but would also pick up one or two signings from the NSL as well as from their Pacific neighbours.
