Hekari United manager Vonnie Kapi Natto, pictured, says they are feeling no pressure heading into stage two of the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League (NSL).
Hekari face New Guinea Islands Conference runners-up West Tribe in their next match as they look to wrestle back the NSL title from Northern Conference winners Toti City.
Kapi Natto said West Tribe were made up of unknown talent.
She said Hekari’s aims was to return to Oceania Football Confederations (OFC) Champions League, where they won the 2009-2010 tournament and qualified for the Fifa Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
“Football is anybody’s game,” Kapi Natto said.
“We are playing West Tribe and we will not take them lightly.
“They are unknown but very talented players. We haven’t played them yet so we will need to be alert.
“Hekari are in the camp in full training. We are ready to face West Tribe.
“But we little cautious as they are very good.
“We have been working very hard over the years, and we will continue to strive for the best and be a model team.
“If we can be able to get to the top, the Champions League is on our mind. But we can only achieve that if we have a good management and funding. It’s not impossible for Hekari.”
