JUHA Landowners Association chairman Hengebe Haluya has described Southern Highlands Governor Anderson Agiru as a dreamer.
Haluya said Agiru had been doing a lot of ground-breaking and major announcements of projects without any project implementation on the ground.
He made the remarks after it was reported last week that  Agiru planned another major hydro power project at Hewai Falls, in Komo district, Southern Highlands.
“Agiru is a dreamer. In 2007, a hydro project was launched at Pajaka, Tari, but it never came to fruition.”
Haluya said during the 2007 election campaign, Agiru said Tari would have an international airport and that project had yet to be completed.
“He announced that there will be a super-highway from Tari to Kopiago and the Hela City development which are yet to be fulfilled.”
The Juha chairman said in 2010 Agiru launched another agriculture project at Dauli that was to be in partnership with the Japanese government and that had not been implemented.
Haluya called on Agiru to explain the status of the K800 million promised for houses and K72 million of infrastructure development grant that was handed down in the 2010 supplementary budget.
