Highlands police commands receive protective equipment

THE provincial police headquarters in Hela, Mt Hagen and Mendi received personal protection equipment for Covid-19 from the National Control Centre this week. Insp Tumbe Sam of the Police media unit presented the equipment on behalf of Police Comm David Manning. Manning is also the Pandemic Response Controller. In recent distributions of the equipment, a total of 64,000 disposable face masks, 2,048 containers of 500ml and 1,920 containers of 100ml of hand sanitises were shipped and dispatched to Lae, Madang, Eastern Highlands and the six provinces in the two highlands commands. Hela commander Chief Insp Teddy Agwi, Hagen station commander Chief Insp John Maguna and Mendi rural commander Insp Leo Walage received the equipment on behalf of their units.
