Hohola police station revamp

Letters

THE refurbishment of the Hohola Police Station must be applauded.
The disadvantaged economic situation at present cannot be used as excuse for many of our Government institutions to not perform to the stakeholders’ expectations.
Credits should be given to where it is due, to Senior Inspector Benjamin Kua for sourcing funding from the business community.
Creativity and innovative ideas are what we need at this time to do policing.
It is only the smart idea that you bring forward to convince funders for the plans to curb the ever-increasing crime in the city.
That also brings to me the Badili Police Station commander Inspector Bill Weraka.
He was creative to do a submission for Badili Police Station to be refurbished by Australian policing partners.
The model facilities built by the Australian policing partners are currently in use to serve the people of Moresby South and city as a whole.
We need station commanders to think outside the box for better policing.
All in all, we need smart people with smart ideas to man the police force.
