Hold MPs accountable for inaction

Letters

THE outcry of ordinary Papua New Guineans for the delivery of goods and services in the two dailies and on social media are as a result of the failure by respective MPs is annoying and disgusting.
It is sad to see pictures in the papers and social media of people travelling on foot with cargoes or crossing dangerous and fast flowing river with cargoes.
Children risking their lives in trying to get to school on the other side of the river. The question we need to ask here is – will it cost a million or two to construct a vehicle or footbridge for the community and children?
In some parts of the country, people are pulling PMV’s and other vehicles out of muddy roads.
If the MP do not address the plight of his/her people than the people who voted him or her into office should approach him/her and ask why he/she ignored them of their rights to access goods and services.
It is better the people go in groups and confront their dishonest or underperforming MPs.
Questioning MPs would make them change their conduct.
