Hospital needs workers

 THE Port Moresby General Hospital strives on delivering quality health care  despite the shortage of staff, according to human resources manager Rita Geno.

She said the health sector was in need of health workers in midwifery, nursing and community health service.

She urged Grade 10 and 12 students to consider choosing a career path in nursing and other health professions.

A seminar was held recently to promote and build awareness on various health disciplines on offer to lure interests of young graduates. 

“PMGH plans to employ graduates from tertiary institutions,” she said

Elizabeth McArthur, said they planned to start a programme to train Grade 12 graduates as health workers.
