Hospital receives equipment

THE Daru Provincial Hospital in Western has received ventilation equipment and face masks from the Medical Repurposing Network, a charity organisation in Australia.
The hospital management thanked the organisation through Wayne Leathem of Rotary Australia for coordinating the donation efforts.
The Sydney Childrens’ Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital and ResMed donated the items.
Deputy chairman of the Western provincial health authority board Mereni Maina paid for the transportation of the items from Australia to Daru.
They include four ventilators for resucitation in the emergency ward, 10 circuits for the ventilators and facemasks.
The hospital management had requested for the items.
