Hunt on for stabbing suspect

AN Eastern Highlands woman was stabbed to death in J Mart in Erima, Port Moresby, on Saturday.
Metropolitan Supt Perou N’dranou said the woman was stabbed in the abdomen with a kitchen knife at about 5.30pm.
She collapsed and died instantly.
“The assailant then ran out of the shop,” N’dranou said.
“We are still trying to identify the assailant, whether he is the woman’s boyfriend or husband.
“The suspect, believed to be also from Eastern Highlands, is on the run.”
N’dranou said relatives of the woman were notified and advised to report to the criminal investigation department’s homicide office to help in investigations.
