Iakosi flying high at Jackson

PORT Moresby road runners (POMRR) gathered under the DC9 at Air Niugini Ascent at Jackson Airport for their weekly meet on Saturday. 
Kesa Nathan (8:58) was untroubled in coasting to victory ahead of John Ulelu (9:27) in the 2km sprint.
Most of the runners continued onto the longer run through the airport and up Radar Hill.
Milton Iakosi (32:42) won comfortably ahead of Swans Pinampio (33:22) and Akis Ivia (34:21).
Sally Hughes (45:08) led the female brigade home in 14th position overall.
A big welcome back to road running was given to veteran Roger Hollis (39:12) as he crossed the line in 6th place as he attempts to recover from long term leg injuries.
Next Saturday, POMRR will meet at 4.45pm at Ela Beach Towers for the 6.8km Christi Morf Lawes Road Challenge.
Other race distances will be 2.2 and 5.5km.
Everyone is welcome  with only 20t to participate.
