THE PNG Immigration and Citizenship Authority will be introducing new systems at the border to improve integrity and allow the smoother movement of people. Chief Migration Officer Stanis Hulahau said the authority had already prepared a submission for the “interactive advanced passenger information system” which would be submitted to Cabinet soon. “In terms of free movement of people across our international borders with the Covid-19 protocols in place, there is limited movement across our international borders,” he said. “What we are looking at is to introduce new systems at our borders to improve integrity as well as adhere to the Covid-19 protocols, and allow free movement of people.  “We are also looking at how we can open the borders again.”
