THE Hohola Offseason Rugby League competition had disruptions on Sunday when players assaulted a referee and touch judges, according to an official.
Competition coordinator Roland Andare had to call off the game because the referee and touch walked off the field in fear of their safety.
He referred the matter to interim competition president Roger Laka and patron Rex Manga for deliberation.
After the incident, Andare urged teams to respect referees and touch judges.
“This is the sixth round of the competition and this negative attitude of confronting referees and touch judges has to stop,” he said.
“In every game, one team wins and the other loses.
“Unless there is a time factor or a draw, no game has two winners.”
