THE Parul University (PU) of India held a roadshow in Lae, Morobe, on Friday.
Parul University assistant manager for marketting, Amritha Thoppae said the roadshow is basically on 50 per cent scholarship and display of programmes for the students willing to study at PU in India.
“The roadshow is to promote the 50 per cent flat scholarship on tuition fees and to explain the different programmes offered in Parul University,” she said. Thoppae said the programmes range from four levels of different disciplines of study.
“The offered programmes range from diploma, bachelor, masters and doctor of philosophy (PhD) levels and in different discipline from science, humanities and business studies,” said Toppae.
She said they have given about 350 offer letters this year to students that are willing to study with Parul University.
“We have about 350 offer letters so far from students in PNG and only 60 students have completed their fees payment and are waiting for their visa to be issued before they travel for studies in India,” she said.
Thoppae said many students are interested to study with Parul University but they faced challenges in doing selection because some of them have low results.
“It’s good that got many interests from PNG students this year but due to their low results, we cannot select them but we strongly encourage them to upgrade their marks and reapply,” she said.
