Innocent unless proven guilty

 WHY is the whole nation moved by the political events in the past two weeks? I am not convinced that the prime minister is guilty unless he is proven so by the court. However, his actions of hiring and firing are suspicious. If he is innocent, why should he prove his innocence by making himself available for the police interview?
