THE insurance arm of Bank South Pacific Financial Group (BSP), BSP Life PNG has opened an office in Lae.
BSP Life country manager Nilson Singh said the establishment of the second office was in line with its expansion strategy to increase its geographical reach to Lae and eventually move to other major provinces.
Singh said this new office would give access to both corporate and individual customers in Lae to access its products and services.
“To have life insurance cover is an important decision an organisation or individual can make for the welfare and security of its employees and dependents, something that is not seriously considered by many organisations and individuals in Papua New Guinea,” Singe said.
BSP Group chief executive officer Robin Fleming said BSP Life had been a success story in the group’s push for financial inclusion.
“We will continue to reinforce the group’s vision to expand its financial services across the country, and make it more accessible and affordable to its customers, and in this instance for Lae customers,” he said.
Flemming said BSP continued to invest in the country despite a financial downturn in economy.
