Background: AROB Chebu, from Bougainville, are overseen by the Bougainville Football Federation to promote a pathway for players in the region.
The players are selected from affiliates of the federation to participate in the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League.
A number of players in the team have represented Bougainville at previous PNG Games and the Besta Cup, and lack NSL experience.
Achievements: Having to participate in the competition is a dream come true for AROB Chebu.
Objective: AROB Chebu FC aim in taking part in the NSL is to promote their hidden talents with a pathway to representing PNG and hopefully one day play in the OFC Champions League.
The team also aim to promote peace during this time when the people of Bougainville are going through the referendum process.
The team hope that AROB Chebu can unite the people of Bougainville.
