JACKS of PNG has started a competition for designers to be featured in the shop’s merchandise for cash prizes.
City Pharmacy Ltd director Sir Mahesh Patel said in Port Moresby yesterday that there were many designers out there and this was part of telling the story about Jacks of PNG.
“The brand originated from Fiji – Jacks of Fiji – and the idea is that we want to be called Jacks of PNG,” he said.
There will be five winners nationwide who will receive K2,000 each.
Entry will close on Dec 20 with the winners announced on Jan 13, next year.
The entries must be submitted a 100-word description of the design.
Jacks of PNG is a 50/50 joint venture between CPL and Jacks of Fiji.
“The main focus is to create a platform and recognition of aspiring artists or designers who are struggling to expose their talents. We will be giving away K10,000 to the five most talented designers nationwide.
“We hope that it benefits participants in understanding how we have and will make an impact at local and international levels for growth of this industry.”
