Jiwaka aims at helping women

 JIWAKA has in place a five-year development plan aimed at improving the quality of life for its women.

The plan was presented to Community Development, Religion and Youth Minister 

Loujaya Toni on Monday.

Provincial women’s representative Rosen Kiap, who presented 

the plan to Toni, said: “By 2017, we will see equal participation in all government and non-government and sectors.”

She said the plan – Empowering our rural women for equal participation in all development initiatives 

(2013-17) – “speaks for itself”.

Toni was impressed with what the women of Jiwaka had come up with.
