Jiwakans happy with Kuli’s post

Letters

THE 11th Parliament was sworn-in with the incumbent PM James Marape being voted into office unopposed for a second term.
The big question on MPs’ minds in the Government would have been surrounding the ministerial portfolios.
They may be asking themselves questions like: Will the PM recognise me with a ministerial portfolio? Do I possess the qualities to be given a portfolio? Who will get what? How am I going to be recognised for my loyalty and faithfulness? What will he do to me if nothing is left?
With the recent appointment of cabinet ministers, I’m more than pleased with Prime Minister James Marape in rewarding us Jiwakans in a very big way with the appointment of one of our MPs, Joe Kuk Kuli, with a portfolio.
In carefully analysing what Marape did, that is indeed a big reward as it’s a very tough situation for every elected PM to be fair to every province when it comes to allocating ministries.
But we believe there was fairness and equal distribution of portfolios to every province.
On behalf of the people of Jiwaka, I’d like to thank PM James Marape for having confidence in appointing on of our sons, Joe Kuk Kuli, as Minister for Coffee.
We, the Jiwaka people, are as grateful with the reward you have given us and celebrate with your new government.
