Justice Dept aims to improve staff welfare as appreciation

DEPARTMENT of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG) aims to improve its staff welfare as an appreciation for their effort in the organisation, Justice Minister Bryan Kramer says.
He said these people gave their time and lives to serve the country and they deserved to be taken care of by the government.
“We focus on good people, we look after their welfare, we told them, we encourage them they will be worthy,” he said.
“We at the top level are making the decisions but they are the ones to implement and their accommodations, welfare and the other needs must be secured.”
Kramer said decisions they made would affect the entire organisation from the top down because they were the key people on the ground to implement.
He said giving them opportunity to talk about their needs would be a way forward in the decisions and policy making.
Kramer said more infrastructure could be built but if it was poorly managed then little progress be made.
“Over the year’s corruption, nepotism, mismanagement and misuse saw good people leave the organisation and now we want to bring back the right people in so they can get things done properly,” he said.
