K15,000 support for local league in WHP

THE Kindeng off-season rugby league in the South Waghi electorate in the Western Highlands received K15,000 from the National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) last Sunday.
NGCB chairman Simon Sanagke presented the K15,000 cheque to the league officials at Kindeng Primary School.
The presentation was witnessed by the league executives; president Rex Nema, vice-president Joseph Pukup, treasurer Joseph Mong, secretary Andy Dawi and the block holders.
President Nema told The National yesterday that it was a huge support for he league since the competition started last year.
He said the league would carry out improvements on the field and put some money aside for the grand final.
He said the people from different parts of PNG living in the block would participate in the competition.
