K2 a copy from Wed

National

OVER the years, prices of goods and services have increased but we have maintained the cover price of The National at K1 for Port Moresby and Lae.
In other centres, we increased it by 50 toea and later to K2 per copy to help offset transportation costs.
We set up our second printing plant in Lae some years ago to speed up delivery and to maintain the cover price but still rely on airlines to transport the paper to other parts of the country, paying high freight rates.
Freight charges have gone up again and we can no longer continue to absorb the increases.
From Wednesday, a copy of The National will cost K2 throughout the country.
We thank our clients and readers who have made The National the country’s best-selling newspaper.
We will continue to strive to serve you better.
We currently have offices in Port Moresby, Lae, Mt Hagen, Goroka, Madang and Kokopo and aim to open a few more to help keep you better informed.
