STATE Enterprises Minister William Duma is urging locals in Chimbu to unite and embrace development as he commissioned a K20 million water project for Kundiawa on Friday.
It is understood that after 20 years, Kundiawa residents would have access to reasonable water and sewerage services.
Duma said the Government was committed to ensure Papua New Guineans had access to basic services such as water, power and air transport such as Air Niugini which came under his ministry.
“I am considering the re-opening of Kundiawa Airport for Air Niugini to resume its flights,” he said.
The K20 million water project was awarded by Water PNG to nationally owned construction firm Kaiaworks.
