Kapi Natto extols positives of NPL format

THE Champions League of Football Federation PNG provides an opportunity to the champion clubs in the Southern and Northern conferences, says FFPNG president John Kapi Natto.
He was in Lae over the weekend to witness the Northern leg of the Champions League. Natto, who was in Lae last weekend to witness the Northern leg of the Champions League, said last year they decided to have the top two sides from each conference playoff.
This would create another pathway for the National Premier League and the clubs in the two conferences, he said. “If we had four conferences (with the New Guinea Islands and Highlands) then we would have the top two from each making it eight teams.
“So we picked the top four from each conference to play their own playoffs and then the finals will be on March 24 back here in Lae,” Natto said.
