The national men’s soccer squad are getting serious about winning gold at the Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa, in July.
The 30-member squad marched into camp at the Papua New Guinea Football Association Academy in Lae on Sunday.
The five-day training camp started yesterday and will end on Friday.
Coach Bob Morris said the camp was important for players.
“We are focusing on a lot of areas during this one-week training. Our goal is to keep making progress, building on the first training camp,” Morris said.
“We made progress in the first camp and we are now looking to take it to another level as a group.
“When we are done with this camp, it’s important that we have a good idea of our strongest group of players heading into the Pacific Games.”
